Just minutes after it was reported that North Carolina forward Justin McKoy would hit the transfer portal, a second Carolina player was reported to be leaving as well - as freshman forward Tyler Nickel will transfer.

A 6'7 forward, Nickel is a former Top 100 recruit who came in highly touted to Carolina, but struggled to see the floor. He averaged 2.1 points per game in 26 appearances.
Still, he is a player who received plenty of high-major interest coming out of high school - including offers from Virginia Tech, Iowa and others, and should be prioritized by plenty of big-time schools.
