Mega, mega transfer news as Arizona point guard James Akinjo, an All-Pac-12 first team point guard at Arizona, has decided to enter the transfer portal. Arizona of course fired Sean Miller a few weeks ago and Akinjo appears ready to see what options are out there for him.
Put simply, Akinjo is one of the best players to enter the portal this off-season, after averaging 15.6 points per game, 5.4 assists and almost 1.5 steals per game last year with the Wildcats, on his way to earning first team All-Pac 12 honors.
It's worth noting that Akinjo has also entered the NBA Draft, but at just 5'10 it seems likely he'll be on a college campus next season. The question - will in be in Tucson or somewhere else?
