An SEC star has decided to hit the portal

An SEC star decided to hit the portal on Monday, when Vanderbilt guard Tyrin Lawrence announced he'd transfer.

On the season, Lawrence averaged 13.1 points per game, but played his best down the stretch. He had 18 points in an SEC Tournament win over Kentucky and followed it up with 18 a day later in a loss to Texas A&M. He also had a pair of 20+ point games during the Commodores NIT run.

Unfortunately though he is leaving Vandy, the latest Vanderbilt difference-maker to do so. Veteran guard announced a transfer to LSU earlier this spring, while starting forward Myles Stute headed to South Carolina. Noah Shelby, a former four-star recruit also elected to leave for Rice earlier in the off-season.
