Arizona lands not one, but two portal guards on Monday, as Washington's JJ Mandaquit and North Carolina's Derek Dixon have committed to the reigning Big 12 champs.
Mandaquit was the first name to come off the board, as a former Top 50 recruit who averaged 5.2 points and 3.2 assists this season at Washington. In an interesting twist, he played for Tommy Lloyd with Team USA basketball this past summer.
Dixon is the more intriguing name, as a high-level player for the Tar Heels. He averaged just 6.5 points and 2.7 assists, but was one of the Tar Heels most consistent players late in the year. He had 17 points in the Tar Heels regular season ending loss at Duke, and another 16 in the ACC Tournament against Clemson.
Both have three years of eligibility remaining.
