Baylor makes MASSIVE pick-up in the transfer portal

If you thought Baylor was slowing down after their national championship run, think again. On Friday afternoon, the Bears received a commitment from James Akinjo, an All-Pac 12 guard who decided to leave Arizona after averaging 15.6 points and 5.4 assists per game, while shooting over 41 percent from three.

Put simply this is a massive pick-up, as Akinjo should help off-set the losses of Jared Butler, Davion Mitchell and MaCio Teague in the backcourt and give the Bears a solid 1-2 punch alongside Adam Flagler.

One thing worth noting: Because Akinjo transferred from Georgetown in the middle of the 2019-2020 season, he is not immediately eligible under the "one time transfer" rule. He will need to put in a waiver to receive immediate eligibility.
