Dawson Garcia, a 6'10 former McDonald's All-American who spent last season at Marquette has found a new college home. He announced that he will play at North Carolina, choosing the Tar Heels over fellow finalists, Illinois and Arizona.

Garcia largely thrived in his one year at Marquette, averaging 13 points to go along with 6.6 rebounds per game, on nearly 36 percent shooting from three.

He will add scoring pop and spacing to a Carolina team that should begin next season ranked somewhere in the Top 15.
