New Mexico star Donovan Dent is officially in the portal, and may go down as the best player to transfer all spring long.
The news was first reported by On3's Joe Tipton.
The 6'2 guard was Mountain West Player of the Year, averaging over 20 points and six assists per game, all while shooting 41 percent from three.
He immediately is in the short conversation for "best player available" in the portal and should be pursued by just about any program in America that needs a lead guard.
