Duke, Kansas among the schools to reach out to this mid-major big man

A mid-major big man is receiving major attention, as a report says Utah Valley forward Aziz Bandaogo has heard from some of the biggest names in college hoops.

According to 247 High School Hoops, Duke, Cincinnati, Kansas, Vanderbilt, Illinois, Cal, St. John’s, LSU, Seton Hall and Memphis are among the schools to reach out to the 7-footer originally from Senegal.

He averaged 11.5 points per game this year as well as 10.4 rebounds and 2.9 blocks, earning WAC Defensive Player of the Year, and helping Utah Valley to the semifinals of the NIT.

He played for current Cal head coach Mark Madsen at his previous stop.
