Elite rim protector Manny Bates has a new home

Manny Bates, one of the best shot blockers in college hoops over the last few seasons has announced where he will play college basketball next season - he told CBS's Jon Rothstein that he has committed to Butler.


This is a mega get for Thad Matta's first Butler team, as when healthy, he is one of the best shot blockers in college hoops. Bates averaged 9.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.7 blocks per game in the 2021 season. He played a total of one minute, before suffering a season ending injury at NC State this season.
