Former McDonald's All-American JJ Starling, who spent one season at Notre Dame before deciding to hit the portal on Monday, has made his transfer choice: He is headed to Syracuse.
This was largely expected for the 6'4 guard, as Starling is originally from upstate New York and nearly committed to the Orange out of high school. Still, this is a major boon for new head coach Adrian Autry, who took over for Jim Boeheim last week.
Starling averaged 11 points per game this year for Notre Dame, earning All-ACC Freshman Team honors in the process.
