Former McDonald's All-American Patrick Baldwin Jr. now in the transfer portal

We have a mega addition to the transfer portal, as former five-star, McDonald's All-American Patrick Baldwin Jr. is now in the transfer portal. The news was first reported by ESPN's Jonathan Givony.

Baldwin's story is well-known, as a former Top 5 prospect in the class of 2021, that ultimately chose to play for his father last year at Milwaukee, over offers from virtually every program in the country, including Duke. He struggled with injuries however, appearing in just 11 games, averaging 13 points per game.

Still, the 6'11 forward immediately becomes the best available player in the portal.

It's worth noting that the plan is still to test the NBA Draft waters, and he could very well end up going pro, rather than return to college basketball.
