George Washington loses its second player in a week

George Washington head coach announced on Monday that guard Jameer Nelson Jr. has decided to leave the program and transfer. The 6'1 guard, and son of former NBA star Jameer Nelson had a solid freshman season in 2020, averaging 10.4 points per game, but saw his role diminish in 2021, dropping to just 8.4 points per contest. Nelson joins fellow guard Maceo Jack, who announced he would leave the program last week.
