Georgetown Brings In the First Major Transfers of the Ed Cooley Era!

North Carolina Transfer Dontrez Styles and Illinois Transfer Jayden Epps have both committed to Georgetown.

Epps played a major role for an Illinois team that made the NCAA Tournament this season, averaging 9.5 points per game this season in his first year in college, starting 14 games.

Late in the season though his numbers dipped, playing just two minutes in a Big Ten Tournament loss to Penn State and just five in an NCAA Tournament loss to Arkansas.

Styles was a very highly touted recruit coming out of High School, ranked as the #66 overall player and #13 Small Forward, in 24/7 Sport's High School Class of 2021 player rankings.

Styles didn't have much of a role for North Carolina this past season, averaging 1.4 points and 0.9 rebounds per game. However, as a Freshman he did make some major contributions, including scoring 9 points in 25 minutes, during North Carolina's Round of 32 upset victory over Baylor. He will have two seasons of eligibility remaining
