Georgia Adds Transfer and Former Top 60 Recruit from the Big Ten

Illinois Transfer RJ Melendez has committed to Georgia. The 6'7" Guard from Arecibo, Puerto Rico, averaged 6.0 points and 3.5 rebounds per game this past season, shooting 26.4% from three.

Melendez is a former Top 50 recruit out of High School and was expected to play a much bigger role for the Illini this season. He will have two seasons of eligibility remaining.
