Georgia lands one of the top available portal players, as former BYU wing Kanon Catchings committed to the Dawgs late Sunday night.

The news was first reported by 247 Sports' Travis Branham.

Catching is a former high-four star recruit who originally committed to Purdue, before flipping to BYU last spring. He had an up-and-down first year, showing plenty of flashes, including a 23-point performance in a win over Baylor and 14 points in a road victory Arizona.

However, as the season went on Catchings role diminished and now the 6'10 forward will look for a fresh start in the SEC. He has three years of eligibility remaining.
