Gonzaga May Be On Prowl For Guard Help After Losing Experienced Player to Portal

Redshirt senior Aaron Cook is leaving Gonzaga, or at least will likely do that after entering his name into the transfer portal according to @verbalcommits.

Cook played over 32 minutes a game at Southern Illinois before joining the Zags last year. Expected to contribute as a backup guard, his role was diminished when Florida transfer Andrew Nembhard became eligible. Add in Mark Few bringing in talented freshman guard Hunter Sallis and Cook decided to take advantage of the extra year by playing elsewhere. He averaged 4.2 points and 1.7 assists per game and made one start for the Zags this season.
