Illinois adds a major piece out of the portal

Illinois became the latest Big Ten team to add a major piece out of the portal, as former Southern Illinois forward Marcus Domask committed to the Illini on Monday morning.

The 6'6 Domask was a star for the Salukis this season, averaging 16.7 points per game and 5.8 rebounds per contest as well, helping the school to a 23-7 record overall.

But with an extra year of eligibility remaining, Domask will now head to the Big Ten, where he will join a retooling Illinois squad coming off three straight NCAA Tournament bids.
