Rob Phinisee, a key cog on the Indiana Hoosiers over the last four seasons has decided to enter the transfer portal, in news first reported by 247 Sports Travis Branham.
Phinisee was part of Archie Miller's first acclaimed recruiting class at the school, but injuries slowed down much of his career. His best season came in 2019-2020 when he averaged seven points and four assists per game, but did show flashes this season, including a 20-point performance in a home victory against Purdue.
But after another injury, Phinisee saw his role reduced, and will now use his final year of eligibility elsewhere. As a steady, veteran point guard, he should be in high demand.
