Iowa State makes key addition to backcourt

Iowa State lost a star guard to the portal a few weeks ago when Tyrese Hunter decided to look at his options, but they may have found his replacement this week - as former Saint Bonaventure guard Jaren Holmes committed to the Cyclones on Saturday.

Holmes was a three-year starter for the Bonnies including during their NCAA Tournament run in 2021, and this past season averaged 13.5 points and 3.6 points per game.

He earned All-A10 second team honors this season.
