Tyrese Hunter, arguably the best player in the transfer portal this off-season has found a new college home - on Friday, he committed to Texas.
Hunter was one of the surprise stars of college hoops, averaging 11 points and five assists as a freshman, helping lead Iowa State to the Sweet 16. That included a 22-point performance in a Round 1 win over LSU.
Hunter's decision to enter the portal was surprising, but now he joins an intriguing Texas team. The Longhorns return stars Marcus Carr and Timmy Allen, and add a pair of McDonald's All-Americans, Arterio Morris and Dillon Mitchell.
