After a somewhat slow Sunday on the college basketball landscape, Monday morning news sees a sharpshooter who made over 46% of his three-point attempts in the Big 10 has entered the transfer portal.
Iowa shooting guard CJ Frederick entered the portal late Sunday according to @RobHowe tweet. In two years as a Hawkeye, Frederick made 83 three-point shots in his 52 games as a Hawkeye. He made 86 of his 178 (46.6%) of his career long-range attempts.
While he averaged only 8.8 points per game this past season, his shooting ability will make him a hot commodity in the portal. Frederick was the 2018 Kentucky Gatorade Player of the Year in helping lead Covington Catholic to the state title.
