Kentucky's Sahvir Wheeler will transfer

In a piece of news that isn't truly surprising, Kentucky guard Sahvir Wheeler announced he will be transferring.

The news was first reported by 247 Sports Brandon Jenkins.

The 5'10 guard had a turbulent few years at Kentucky, leading the SEC in assists last season and averaging 7.5 points and 5.6 assists per game this season. Unfortunately, he also dealt with several nagging injuries and at one point this year was replaced in the starting lineup, missing the final few games of the year with injury.

After beginning his career at Georgia, Wheeler will end his career at a third school. Look for him to get somewhere closer to his hometown of Houston, Texas, with several Big 12 schools expected to vie for his services.
