Dontaie Allen, a 6'6 wing who never could crack the rotation in three years at Kentucky, announced on Thursday that he will enter the transfer portal.
Allen's best season actually came during the 2020-2021 Covid season, where he had several big games, including a 23-point effort against Mississippi State in an NCAA Tournament loss. However, on a deeper Kentucky squad this season, he never could find significant minutes.
Despite the limited stats, Allen is a former Mr. Basketball in the state of Kentucky, who averaged a staggering 42 points per game during his senior year. He should draw interest from many high-major schools.
