Key NC State guard in the transfer portal

NC State guard Cam Hayes entered the transfer portal on Wednesday, in news first reported by 247 Sports' Travis Branham.
Hayes enrolled early as a freshman during the 2020-2021 season, averaging 7.8 points and 3.1 assists per game, all while shooting 39 percent from behind the arc. However his numbers dipped this season, averaging just seven points and 2.1 assists per game.
He originally committed to NC State over Maryland Louisville.
