Kofi Cockburn, arguably the best player to enter the transfer portal this off-season, has decided not to transfer at all. The 6'11 center who earned second team All-American honors at Illinois in the 2020-2021 season has instead elected to return to Illinois.
Cockburn averaged 17.7 points and 9.5 rebounds for the Illini last season, helped them clinch a Big Ten Tournament title and No. 1 seed.
He chose the Illini over Florida State, with Kentucky showing initial interest early on in the recruiting process.
