Maryland picks up a second HUGE transfer commit of the day

Just hours after former Georgetown center Qudus Wahab committed to Maryland, the Terps got a second HUGE piece via the transfer portal. That's because on Saturday afternoon, former Rhode Island guard Fatts Russell committed to the Terps.

The news was first reported by CBS's Jon Rothstein.

Russell is a dynamic playmaking guard who averaged 14.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game last season. His numbers were even better as a junior.

He was one of the best available players in the transfer portal this off-season.
