Memphis gets a double-win on the recruiting trail Thursday

It was a rare double win for Memphis coach Penny Hardaway on Thursday, as he picked up a transfer and high school star on the same day - from the same family.

That's because Keelon Lawson, the father of Oregon transfer Chandler Lawson announced that his son would be attending Memphis. In addition, his youngest son, Johnathan Lawson, a top prospect in the class of 2021 - who was previously committed to Oregon - has announced he'll head to Memphis as well.

The Lawson's are Memphis natives, and their two older brother - Dedric and KJ - actually played at Memphis several years ago before transferring. In addition, Chandler Lawson played for Penny Hardaway in high school.

Chandler Lawson averaged 4.4 points and three rebounds per game at Oregon this past season.
