Memphis has made its second big portal splash in two days, as former Michigan and Kansas State point guard Dug McDaniel committed to Penny Hardaway and the Tigers on Thursday night.

McDaniel began his career playing for Juwan Howard at Michigan before spending last season with K-State, where he averaged 11.4 points and 4.9 assists. His shooting dipped but he had been a 36 percent career three-point shooter before last season.

McDaniel now takes over point guard duties for the Tigers after the departure of Tyrese Hunter. He is the second high-profile commit in two days as the Tigers also added former McDonald's All-American Aaron Bradshaw on Wednesday.
