We have mega transfer portal news, as Kofi Cockburn - a second-team All-American who averaged 18 points and 9.5 rebounds per game last season at Illinois - has decided to enter the transfer portal. The news was first reported by 247 Sports' Andrew Slater.
Cockburn is also testing the NBA Draft process, but if he decides to return to college, it appears as though it will be at a school other than Illinois.
He finished second on the team in scoring behind All-American Ayo Dosunmu and led them in rebounding, as a key cog on the Illini's Big Ten Tournament championship team.
