NC State star center Manny Bates is starting to narrow his list, and will visit one Big East school this weekend.
Per CBS's Jon Rothstein, Bates will visit Butler in the coming days.
Bates is one of the craziest stories in the portal, as he averaged 10 points, six rebounds and 2.5 blocks during the 2020-2021 season, but played just one minute in 2021-2022 before suffering a season injury.
Still, when healthy he is one of the elite, rim-running bigs available in the portal.
Bates ranks No. 14 in Aaron Torres' list of "Best Available Players in the Portal - Right Now."
