Teddy Allen, a former New Mexico State guard who scored 37 points in an NCAA Tournament win against UConn is now in the portal, in news first reported by ESPN's Pete Thamel.
Allen became a household name for the Aggies this March pouring in 37 points against the Huskies, but was really one of the most prolific scorers in all of college hoops all off-season long. He averaged 19.6 points per game on 33 percent three-point shooting for the Aggies.
Allen is well-traveled, having played at West Virginia, Nebraska and a junior college previously, while also enrolling at Wichita State, all before his season at New Mexico State last year. He would likely need a waiver to be immediately eligible, but if he is, adds immediate scoring pop to any team's backcourt.
