New Kentucky coach Mark Pope gets his first big commit out of the portal, as 6'11 Drexel center Amari Williams has announced he will head to Lexington.
Put simply Williams might be the best defensive big in the portal, a guy who averaged 12 points and eight rebounds, to go along with nearly two blocks per game this season. Those numbers were actually down from a season ago, and overall, Williams has won each of the last two CAA Defensive Player of the Year awards.
Williams will head to Lexington with one year of eligibility remaining.
