Ohio State adds its first big commit this portal season

Ohio State has added its first major piece this portal season, as former Minnesota star Jamison Battle has elected to stay in the Big Ten and head to Columbus.

The news of the commitment was first reported by 247 Sports' Travis Branham.

The 6'7 forward began his career at George Washington before playing the last two years at Minnesota, where he averaged 12.8 points per game this year. That was down from his 2021-2022 campaign where he led the Gophers with 17.5 points per game on 36 percent three-point shooting.

He has one year of eligibility remaining.
