One of the best players in mid-major basketball has entered the portal, as in a late-night portal shocker, Saint Mary's leading scorer Aidan Mahaney announced he would transfer.
The 6'3 guard has put together back-to-back stellar seasons for the Gaels, scoring 13.9 points both as a freshman in 2022-2023 and a sophomore this year. He also hit 35.5 percent from behind the three-point arc.
He'll have two years of eligibility remaining, and instantly becomes one of the best players in the portal.
