One of the biggest names in college basketball makes a last minute portal decision - as Illinois star Coleman Hawkins has announced he will hit the portal.
Per Hawkins' own statement, it sounds like he simply has put his name in the portal to keep options open, and plans to pursue the NBA Draft full speed ahead.
But if he does return to college hoops he will be among the most coveted players available after averaging 12 points and six boards per game, while shooting 37 percent from three for the Big Ten tourney champs.
He'll have one year of eligibility remaining.
