Sophomore stud shooting guard is leaving Memphis and Coach Penny Hardaway

Boogie Ellis, fresh off of scoring 23 points and winning the NIT championship, has elected to enter the transfer portal, sources told ESPN. On the year, he averaged 10.2 points on 39% three point percentage. The former 4-star recruit was originally committed to Duke before he ultimately decided to flip his decision and play for Memphis. His previous final 5 also included USC (Trojans), San Diego State, and North Carolina. As a kid from San Diego, he may look to transfer closer to home. Regardless, a college program is about to get a great player with tremendous scoring ability.
