St. John's added another key piece via the transfer portal on late Sunday, as former DePaul star David Jones committed to the Red Storm. The news was first reported by John Fanta.
Jones was DePaul's clear go-to star, an undersized forward who finished second on the team in scoring at 14.5 points per game and led them with 7.5 rebounds per game. He isn't super big (6'6) nor is he super-athletic, but should play nicely in the Red Storm's, quick, up-and-down, fast-paced system.
He is the second major get out of the portal this off-season, as the Red Storm also added former Illinois guard Andre Curbelo.
