St. John's has officially nabbed their first big commit of the off-season

St. John's had been waiting for a marquee commitment to start their off-season, and they got it on Tuesday, as former McDonald's All-American Vince Iwuchukwu committed to Rick Pitino's squad.


Iwuchukwu was a member of the 2022 McDonald's All-American class, who, in an incredible story, suffered cardiac arrest prior to his freshman year. To his credit he made a full recovery, and played briefly during the 2022-2023 season, before appearing in 31 games for the Trojans this year. He averaged five points, five rebounds and a block per game, in just 15 minutes of play.


Expect a much bigger role as he heads to St. John's which must fill a frontcourt void with the departure of
