Sun Belt Player of the Year Hits Portal; Should Have Plethora of Suitors

DeVonte’ Jones has lit it up at Coastal Carolina in his three years there scoring 1,335 points and being named the Sun Belt Player of the Year. He was also the league's Freshman of the Year two seasons ago. The New Orleans native entered the transfer portal Friday according to CBS Jeff Borzello.

Jones, who will have two years of eligibility left, averaged 20 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 3.1 assists this past season, despite being double-teamed a majority of the season. His stellar play this past season saw him ranked nationally in a slew of categories - second in steals per game, third in total steals, 17th in free throws made, and 22nd in total points. His phone should be quite busy this weekend with high majors all in pursuit.
