The best player in the portal is officially headed to the SEC, as Johnell Davis announced on Wednesday afternoon that he has committed to Arkansas.
The news has been expected for days, as John Calipari has landed an elite, veteran guard. The 6'4 Davis averaged 18 points and six rebounds per game this season, all while shooting 41 percent from behind the three-point arc. He had several 30-point games, including one against Arizona in December, which was ranked in the Top 10 in the country at the time.
Davis now joins a loaded Razorback squad that includes two other high profile transfers (Zvonimir Ivisic from Kentucky and Tennessee's Jonas Aidoo), as well three high-profile freshmen in McDonald's All-Americans Boogie Fland and Karter Knox, as well as four-star Billy Richmond.
