Former Gonzaga big man Oumar Ballo announced on Instagram that he will be transferring to Arizona. That reunites Ballo with a coach he knows well in Tommy Lloyd.
Lloyd was Ballo’s prime recruiter to Gonzaga so the switch to the Wildcats is logical. Ballo saw regular minutes early in the Zags run until he suffered a thumb injury. His minutes diminished after that. He did play in 24 games, shooting 63% from the field. The 7-0 center from Mali will have four years of eligibility remaining.
