VCU Lands Big East Transfer for 2021-2022 Season; Returns Closer to Home to play for Mike Rhoades

Sumpter, SC native Jimmy Nichols will return closer to home to conclude his college career. Nichols played three years at Providence College, although VCU had offered him while in high school.


Nichols missed part of the last two seasons due to injury, but will have two years of eligibility remaining. He plate din 16 games before missing the later part of the year with an eye injury. He started eight games and averaged 6.1 points and grabbed 2.4 rebounds.
