Tre Mitchell, a well-traveled big man who was an All-A-10 forward before playing last season at Texas, has found a new home: He announced Friday that he's headed to West Virginia.
Mitchell had a mostly forgettable season in Austin last year, averaging just 8.7 points per game, while shooting a career-low 32 percent from the field. He was prolific offensively in two seasons at UMass though, averaging 19 points on just under 37.5 percent shooting during the 2020-2021 season.
